Westward 3 who is stealing the money

I have done everything including blown up the blockaid and the gates open but no mechanic anyone know where he is hiding? I cannot get the last lumberjack in se corner. Can't build a bridge and can't find anything to blow up. Help, please. Chryzz, Have you done the bridge tutorial yet? It won't let you build bridges until you do the tutorial. Kayleigh and Kyle. Thanks so much for your answers. This is really a great site for people not used to this sort of game.

Thanks jayisgames. I really want to finish the professional challenge, but I still need help finding and chopping down the tree. Anyone help? Largest Tree I blew up this tree with dynamite, same with the one by the gated chest to the very north of town.

Wolves You need to blow up the gate to allow them access to all the fenced in animals to the S of the town. Kayleigh Thank you for your input, 10 was my lucky number on the stables, 6 on the flower pots just goes to show how random the game can be.

Now I am frustrated with 2 more hidden Easter Eggs Thanks again. Yup i finish the tutorial i already set up the bridge but got a problem can't finish it coz my guy can't to to the other side, then i try to make another bridge but then my bridge tool in the building section turns gray..

Chryzz, it could be that you can't build another bridge til the one you started is either finished or destroyed. What about having another character who can get to the bridge finish it and then you can have your hero build one he can get to? Maybe if you try that, you will be able to get unstuck. Liss, even though it says chop the tree down, we can dynamite it instead?

Gonna try it now and will let you know if it works. I'm stuck on the challenge to save the lumberjacks. I have all but the one in the SW corner of the challenge, where the lumberjack is standing with some gold next to him.

The game won't let me build a bridge to him, saying it's obstructed, when it looks like it shouldn't be, and there's no way to walk to him. There is a gold mine in the water that is preventing me from building a bridge. I am currently standing on the island where I saved a female lumberjack that was with some crates, I think I'm at my wit's end with this one.

I've already started over twice now. You have to dynamite the rocks in the water. Go over the bridge to where the man in the middle island was and go down the ramp. Go around to the rocks in the water and blast them. Then you can go up the ramp to your last person. I have the same problem as Ray. I am stuck needing the sheriff's office when having only 7 points. Please help, cause I saved everything I did in one slot and dont want to start over!!!

I only have one mine left, no more pan mines. Oh, and I have 1 left that I cannot find anywhere, I'm about to start blowing up buildings. I hate Easter Eggs. This is for Chyzz specifically because I had something similar happen to me at a different portion of the game, and this is going to dovetail somewhat smoothly towards a more general hint for everyone who may be getting stuck in various spots.

As for your problem with building a bridge, there are points in the game where you can't perform certain actions without completing other quests first. So, your bridge may not be complete if you have one of these sidequests still hanging out there. Check first to see what quest specifically is in the corner, and if that gives you no clues, then click your quest button to see how many open quests you have and if any are capable of being completed before you build that bridge.

Now, because there are certain things that have to be done in a certain order, this also means certain events won't get triggered until after you've performed a specific action, talked to a certain person, etc.

Where this becomes a general hint for everyone is that before you go into a major quest one way or another, if you can avoid the triggering event, you can use this time to gather resources and make sure that you are the best prepared for what is about to come.

An example of this is the quest for the inventor of the steam powered drill. Here you have to rebuild a town while periodically defending it from bandits.

You can't actually do any repair work or building before you fine the inventor, but until you find the inventor you will not come across any bandit raids, meaning that you can scoop up all the free resources before actually activating the quest, putting you in a very strong position to get a good start and increase your chance for success by having the resources necessary to build and repair buildings, and even deploying wisely your gunslingers.

I answered my own question re: the 3rd shop item. Now the hats are bugging me I'm missing the center and lower right. Any suggestions? I have finished all main quests but only have 6 of 9 hats and 1 items - cowboy boots in the general store.

I have tried everything I could think of, money and resources are not a problem Does anyone one know the max people in a town? I am up to 40 and cannot go any higher, is that the max?

TJ Spring Ok, let's see, if I can at least answer a few of your questions : The easter eggs are a quest and you have to find them To get the quest.

You have to get the ostriches to get to the easter eggs. Build 3 ranches and grow the 3 farm animals. There are 9 hats 1. Merlin 2. Viking 3. Cowboy 4. Trojan 5. Pirate 6. Fruit 7. Cheese 8. Indian Headress 9. Deer As you did not finish all quests - the treasure for example, that might be the reason, that you are missing some. When you tell me, which one you are missing, I might be able to help you.

You can't jump into well until you have completed the other steps. One chest is up around the outpost area. It is in a fenced in area, Blow up tree the tree and it will fall on the switch, which opens the gate. Go to the chest and it gives you a clue about a cabin Go to the river cave, then go to the well. The blue box is only there if you have activated the easter egg quest.

For all, which might have the same problem as chezza The second gold minning. I need help with drillmachine [Setup the con]. I blew up the rocks at the cliff East , but after they have fallen on the button to open the gate, nothing happens!! In the part right after you kill the wolves--in the beginning of the game--it says to unlock the River Gold Mine, can anyone tell me where to find that? Water towers only increase capacity it is the wells that give you the water.

I can't gain access to the sunken cabin. I built a well in the middle of the blue ring of rocks but nothing happens. I've built about 10 wells and nothing triggers the access to the cabin. What am I doing wrong?

Is it possable to complete the save the farm quest? I can get the money saved up but then I'm suppose to wait for Redd to show up but before he does McAllister shows up and the save the farm quest is no longer avable. So, on the trophies page they show a trophy for completing the two hidden treasure quests.

What are they, where do you find them? I finished the game again but haven't come across them. Only in a sandbox mode? I have a problem at the Rescue Lumberjacks mission. I've rescued everyone except for the lady closest to the lumbermill.

A dialogue box popped up that my hero can't reach the other side to build the bridge because of "Bridge Link Construction Ended" or some such. What on earth is that??!!! I'm totally stuck. Rebooted, Restarted Quest, re-banged my head on my keyboard but nothing worked.

Hi everybody Where is the last easter egg Location 9 and 14 of the Easter eggs are the same; I've looked everywhere and can't figure out where the other egg is.

Everything else was helpful though! I failed the save the farm quest and have no idea why. What should I do differently? Is there a trick to passing this quest or something? Thax ahead of time I just found my last easter egg after being stuck for ages. It was behind a big tree just above the circle of blue stones. I hope this helps people. How do I build a fire in front of the cave in the top left hand corner. When I approached it my hero said it's too dark to explore if we build a fire in front it will ight it enough.

I'm stuck at finding the mechanic. I already found it but apparently I need to build a bank. But i already spent all my knowledge! How to get more?

You can get experience points there. Help with the "Baron Family Rescue"?!?! Okay so i have distracted the bandits with the horses and the food but i don't know how to distract the last group.

Help anyone? My game keeps freezing in the haunted town. I saved halfway through the quest and I can't reload the game now. This has happened twice now. I've replayed the game, I've even uninstalled and reinstalled is there a patch or something that I need??

Tech support always suggests when you have having problems to make certain you have the latest versions of your video card driver and of DirectX. You might also try clearing out your Temp files under App Data, Local to see if that helps. Does anyone know if there are something extra to download for this game too. I believe there are only the 3 sandbox maps for this one I've scoured the web looking for others and have found none.

The bad news is, those extra maps were downloadable from Sandlot's site and no longer seem to be available now that Digital Chocolate owns the Sandlot stock. My editorial: it is a shame that a company showing no interest in continuing what Sandlot started several awesome game series now controls Sandlot's games. I think we may be mourning that loss for a long time I'm stuck on the chili cook-off. The walkthru says that my farms will automatically box up the carrots and corn needed but they're not.

Do I need to do something else? I also need help obtaining the 2nd key. I've been fishing this pond trying to catch the fish but they're not disappearing!

Any thoughts? For the chili cook-off, once you've accepted the challenge it will appear on your "Quests" page Make sure you've planted the correct crops and that your town isn't starving. If you're in the correct pond, you'll need to fish for a while until you find a fish with a key in its mouth. You'll receive a pop-up message about it. My biggest word of advice on all of the WW series games is to save often. It's the easiest way to recover from earthquakes or other disasters reloading a game although it is a bit of a cheat.

On the other hand, saving often also allows you to go back to a point prior to accepting a quest, just to check on whether you started it properly. I have missed some quests and would like to do them now. I don't have any savegames. I have completed the game and I am missing some of the extra things. Thanks in advance. If you've completed the entire game and have not saved your profile, you are going to need to create a new profile and play again.

If you select play for your current profile, the usual result is that they will want to start a new game for that profile. Jazz is right. But, it also depends on which quests you're trying to complete open spoiler to see more. Some trophies can be done after you finish the main game. In fact, a couple can only be completed in Sandbox Mode.

See our strategy guide for more about these. Any specific quests a. If you fail or if the requirements of the quest run out, you'll need to start over in a new game to begin. For those kinds of quests, you have two options:. Select "New Game" for your current profile, in which case you'll keep the trophies you've already obtained and can then focus on the ones you've missed.

I am a Westward addict and am always replaying at least 1 in the 5 game series although, admittedly, I haven't finished the first yet. To me, it never gets old, there's always new ways to build and, if you play with a different protagonist, you'll start out in a different setting.

Plus, If you complete certain missions or trophies, you'll even get certain bonuses an extra character on your next play through, so it's always worth it to start again on the same profile. When you finish with this game, you should give the rest of the series a try, too. My favorite advice to give out, though: save your game and save strategically!

Also, big kudos to you for making it through without having to reload! There are some tough quests such as the earthquake town in this game. You should never need them, even on the last level. After the fish run out and I assure you they will on the last level , just have your hero hunt while everyone else does everything else. By this time, all the natural resources that you can get without building should have been exhausted and your hero won't have anything to do.

Occasionally, you might need a general store on the trading post quests. Before you build one, make sure that the benefits outweigh the costs. It costs gold and wood to get a general store and buy one dynamite. A gold vein that your hero can mine contains about gold, and a log contains about 80 wood.

I am having trouble with the Mechanic's quest. No matter how much dynamite I use the blockade never blows up. What is the next option or have I just not placed the dynamite in the correct spot yet. I've done it more than 1 dozen times at this point. Leave a comment [ top of page ]. All games mentioned or hosted and images appearing on JayIsGames are Copyright their respective owner s.

Here is a list of Hints and Tips for Westward 3. How to get the dynamite license You have to go north to continue looking for Redd click on the exclamation point over your hero's head. You have to build flower boxes and water the flowers. After the first watering, they turn red. Keep the fires lit. Click on your hero and then Build 1 tab located at the bottom of the screen.

Click on the tent and place the tent on the land. The background will turn green when it is okay to build. If the site is obstructed, the background will be red. Build two more tents then go check out the campsite. Put them to work. Sam shows up and challenges you to grow 10 food at the farm. If you need more settlers, build tents or cabins. Click on the store tab to buy the cabin option so you can build cabins. Pick up any wood that is on the ground as you head to the campsite.

Click on the box and read the note. It holds a clue for the hidden supplies. Go back into town. The wagon will be broken up. Pick up the wood.

First I build the log cabin for the General store guy. Then, I built the bridge to the woman right nearby but then I can't go any farther.

What is the sequence of events here? Give a girl a clue please! I posted my walk through on another thread titled: Need serious help with the lumberjacks Hope that it helps. Anyone know how to find the red flowers for the guy? AnnFrances wrote: brickjr wrote: Okay, I finally made it to a new city and am at the part where I need to help other towns in order to get votes for governor.

Thanks I dont think you can, and I think its made that way, because later in the game you have to rescue Redd's parents because they have agreed to come where you are.

I have played it several times using my idea of getting as much gold as you can possibly get, including exhausting the two panning mines you can use and had lots of gold and still failed that quest. Where do you find a white rabbit? Do you look in your town? All the rabbits there are brown.

Anyone know how to get through the ghost town? Thank you so much, ArmyMOM!!!! It worked. A Bouquet for Everyone Bloom! Share flowers with the World Bloom!

Daisy Pet Vet Dr. Hyde: The Strange Case Dr. I do see i forgot to put the spartan hat on there though. Sarah- if you have a trading post employed the challenges should be there just like the bandit challenges show up when you build a sheriff station and have a sheriff.

Sarah—to get the people you have to build a sheriff building…and hire a sheriff…then more people will move to town. Working on those now, starting with disaster challenge LOL : To get the fashion trophy, you have to have all nine hats and then drag people to the store one by one to buy hats..

I have notice alot of questions about the winery. Do you need dynamite to blast the rock? I already used it in the river. I would appreciate any help for dummies on how to do this correctly. Thanks in advance. I restarted the game 3 or 4 times trying to save the farm. I also blew up the rocks by the skinny rocks blocking the path up to the other side where the hidden treasure is.

I am talking about the slope between the water panning site between the one on the right and the old prospector. Then I could build a regular gold mine sooner. I currently have 4 ranches employed and housing cows — and i have the tannery employed — and STILL no boots in store — there must be something else required.

I found a fun glitch!! It made it alot easier to build up to meet the goals. It ended normally once I got all three graveyards built. So feel free to starve your people there and just let new ones come in. How do you lead the wolf back to the pen? Everytime I get him going he leaves before I can get close to the pen. I can only see his mother and father! I am seeing the same questions: Population problems? You need at lelast 5 people in tents.

Build a lumber camp. Build a well, Build a farm. Employee all 5 then go off and find either gold or silver — the gold rocks have gold streaks, the silver rocks have white streaks pay no attention to the flashing star color. As soon as you have enough for one log cabin, blow up two tents. Have your people build the cabin. Do this 3 times so you have 3 cabins. Now you have 6 people and shoulld have enough for Gold Panning Mine.

Put 2 on the Farm, 2 on the Lumber Camp, and 2 on the Mine. Remember keep building cabins so your folks stay happy AND you need to employ a Sheriff before you can go over 15 pop.

Black Stallion — plan on building 3 stables. Once the third stable is built the stallion will appear in the stable. White Rabbit — this one took a bit of planning. Build 3 Farms — employee 1 person at each farm. I had to grow carrots on each farm before the white rabbit appeared. Give chase and as you get close he is crated up. Take a step back then go forward to unlock the crate.

The husband gets the bunny. Silver Ring — plan on having a Blacksmith. Once finished give the ring to the man. Red Flowers — build a flower pot and water it. Plan on buying 7 packets of Tree Seeds. Go up to the corner and start planting as much as you can following the red markers from one side to the river and across the wagon tracks.

Use 2 sticks of dynamite to blow it up and proceed on. The employees who are professional woodcutters — not the normal townfolks can plant the seeds for you. Seeds cost about 80 so plan ahead. Gold Mine Nightmares — At your gold mine try to get 3 prospectors to mine for you — it goes faster and have at least one if not two gunslingers hanging around the mine not the panning mine but the mine in the hillside in case of attack. Feast or Famine — You need a granery for every 10 people max — I usually put one for six.

Every fourth cabin gets a well. If you go hunting the animals do come back yet are mighty slow to return. Your best bet for food is fishing — just click on the fish and your Hero or town folk pulls out a fishing pole.
